Catch Up

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

So the blog sat poised, about to Tour, and, wha’appen? Da summer pass an the nights draw in…

In the meanwhile, some pitted highlights:

Randall breaks club records posting 111 in first match of Tour, a win, Beast in the 50’s.

The next a draw too, another winning one at that, Frankie at the helm from the off posting a classy 50+.

Filleigh rained off, compensation, for many at least, a fine village pool pub and time in the Croyde surf.

Hove Unicorns a winning draw, Smith keeping the tradition Dave set after Flinty’s ton c.1652, by extending Randalls’ chanceless one with another anything but, oh, what does it matter when in the book it’s ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE RUNS against his name?

Then, shame, we assemble at Plumpton in the first day of Autumn and fail to get to 94.

3 games left and no news of Wayne’s toe, sightings of Mr Kerr though he’s in the area, and little practice available.

Shurley, I hear our good captain say, time for some winter nets?
